Committee Formation and Active Functioning

  • The IQAC committee has already been constituted, comprising experienced faculty members and administrative representatives as shown below.
  • The committee is actively involved in planning and executing quality enhancement initiatives.

Regular Organization of Events and Activities

  • Various workshops, seminars, and training programs related to quality enhancement, accreditation, and best academic practices are being conducted.
  • Future events will continue to be planned and executed in alignment with NAAC/NBA guidelines to ensure continuous institutional improvement.

Special Measures for Weak Students

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, special measures are implemented to support weak students and ensure their academic growth. These measures include remedial classes held after college hours, where students receive additional instruction and personalized attention to help them grasp challenging concepts.

  • Mentors conduct counseling sessions to interact with students, understand their difficulties, and provide guidance
  • Specially developed question banks and assignments are provided to help students practice and improve their skills.
  • Additionally, mentors keep parents informed about their child's progress and improvements in exam scores.
  • These initiatives aim to create a supportive learning environment that fosters the academic and personal development of all students.

Industrial Visits

Students of Electrical Engineering today visited Vihaas Design Technologies in Solan for an industrial visit. During the visit, they gained valuable insights into cutting-edge design technologies and the practical applications of electrical engineering in the industry. The visit provided them with exposure to real-world engineering processes, helping bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practices. This hands-on experience allowed the students to interact with professionals and understand the dynamics of working in a modern tech company.

Ensuring Long-Term Functionality and Compliance

  • The IQAC will operate effectively as per the prescribed standards by regularly monitoring academic and administrative processes.
  • It will focus on curriculum improvement, faculty development, research promotion, and student-centric initiatives.
  • Annual reports and AQAR submissions will be prepared and submitted on time to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.

With these measures in place, the IQAC is now fully functional and will continue to play a proactive role in quality assurance and institutional excellence.

The Target KRA's of IQAC in 2025

1. Institutional Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance mechanisms in line with the university's vision and goals.
  • Regularly assess and enhance academic and administrative processes for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor adherence to UGC (University Grants Commission) guidelines and accreditation standards.

2. Academic Excellence & Student Development

  • Foster a culture of academic excellence by coordinating with departments to monitor curriculum delivery and evaluation methods.
  • Develop programs and workshops for faculty development, focusing on teaching, research, and pedagogy.
  • Promote student support services, including mentorship, counseling, and career services, to enhance overall student development.

3. Accreditation & Ranking

  • Lead efforts for accreditation by national and international bodies (e.g., NAAC, NIRF) by ensuring timely submission of documentation and compliance with standards.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at improving university rankings through data collection, analysis, and strategic improvements in key performance indicators.

4. Research, Innovation, and Collaboration

  • Encourage research culture by facilitating inter-departmental and external collaborations, as well as securing funding for research projects.
  • Develop and monitor a comprehensive research policy to support faculty and student research activities.
  • Foster innovation through workshops, seminars, and collaborations with industry and other academic institutions.

5. Faculty and Staff Development

  • Plan and organize regular training and development programs for faculty and staff to enhance skills in teaching, technology, and administration.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Implement performance appraisal systems and recognize outstanding contributions from faculty and staff.

6. Institutional Data Management and Analysis

  • Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of institutional data to inform decision-making and policy formulation.
  • Use data analytics to monitor trends in academic performance, student satisfaction, and faculty productivity.
  • Ensure the timely submission of mandatory reports to UGC and other regulatory bodies.

7. Infrastructure and Learning Resources

  • Support the continuous upgrading and improvement of infrastructure, ensuring it meets the academic and extracurricular needs of students and staff.
  • Promote the integration of technology and e-learning tools in classrooms to enhance the teaching-learning experience.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate learning resources, including library facilities, digital content, and research tools.

8. Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback

  • Ensure the collection and analysis of feedback from students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners to improve institutional practices.
  • Organize regular meetings and surveys to gather input on various aspects of university operations, and implement corrective actions based on feedback.

9. Governance and Compliance

  • Work closely with the university administration to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Prepare and review annual reports, quality assurance plans, and strategic initiatives for institutional growth.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in university operations, including in academic, administrative, and financial processes.

10. Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Establish a continuous improvement framework, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
  • Regularly assess and update policies, procedures, and systems to ensure they align with national and international quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of self-assessment, reflection, and improvement across all departments.
